I think this is my favorite of the Heckler Time series, not directly because it involves the least amount of heckling or random crowd yelling (though it does), but because it’s probably the most clever and witty use of crowd work of the series. In a way that’s because there’s fewer people to speak over so indirectly there’s an inverse relationship between how much the crowd speaks and how funny it is.
F = 1/X
Let F = How funny it is, and let X = how much the crowd yells out random shit
There’s no ‘substitute’ for what you do!
